Musician & composer

Mathias Minquet’s music education reflects the various musical genres in which he evolves. He has a Musicology degree from the Sorbonne University, Paris (France)  and he also graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

After 10 years living in the United States and working - mainly in Los Angeles - doing live and session work, Mathias Minquet now lives in Paris. As a guitarist he treads the line between Rock, Jazz and Classical music, and so his ability to play multiple musical genres led him to work quite often on Broadway Shows.

The music he writes reflects his eclectic tastes and blends equally music for film, improvisation and distorted guitars.

As a composer he frequently writes for documentaries and TV shows, and his music can be heard on “Total Divas”, “Des Racines et des Ailes”, etc.

He has also composed and arranged for “Dear Jazz Orchestra” and his arrangement work has led him to write for Korean K-Pop artist Maktub.

Mathias has received the Berklee Harris Stanton Award for outstanding guitarist and the Berklee Guitar Department Achievement Award twice.
